About the Kenosha-Racine County Line Catholic Parishes:
We are a four-parish collaboration who work together to serve God and our neighbors. Two of our parishes are in Kenosha County and two are in Racine County. That is how we came up with our collaborative name of Kenosha-Racine County Line Catholic Parishes or “KR Catholics” for short.
The parishes share one priest and staff and love to serve these beautiful rural communities. We have two working offices- one office is at St. Robert and one is at St. Francis.
Our four parishes include:
• St. Mary of the Assumption (32311 Church Road, Kansasville, WI)
• St. Robert Bellarmine (3320 S Colony Ave., Union Grove, WI)
• St. Francis Xavier (1704 240th Ave., Kansasville, WI)
• St. John the Baptist (1501 172nd Ave., Union Grove, WI)
Job Summary: (Full-Time, approximately 40 hours/week. Days, nights, and weekends. Year-round)
This position is responsible for the leadership, preparation, and administration of our K-8th grade faith formation program for approximately 100 children. The individual will oversee all faith formation activities and including the sacramental preparation of First Reconciliation and First Communion.
This position has flexible hours, however must be present for Faith Formation classes which occur on most Wednesday evenings at St. Robert, and Sunday mornings at St. John, September-April. The faith formation calendar allows for natural breaks such as during holidays, the public school’s spring break, etc.
This position works very closely with the Faith Formation staff in planning and making decisions regarding the overall Faith Formation program. Weekly attendance at staff meetings is required, and this person works with entire KR Catholic’s staff to enhance discipleship and evangelization efforts in the parishes.
Other tasks:
• Implements the policies of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for catechesis, evangelization, and stewardship, including making sure all catechesis follow the Safeguarding God’s Children requirements mandated by the Archdiocese.
• Works with the faith formation team to select appropriate catechetical materials based on the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops and Archdiocesan guidelines.
• Maintains accurate records in a timely basis, e.g., attendance, sacrament, registrations, payments, etc.
• Provides continued support for new and existing catechists by being present before, during, and after classes, as well as recruits new catechists as needed.
• Provides opportunities for parent engagement and dialog to strengthen their role as faith leaders in their child’s life and to the community at large.
• Assures supervision of minors while on parish grounds for catechetical activities.
• Effectively manages student behavior and works with parents.
• Attends respective Archdiocesan and Deanery workshops/programs, as needed.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
1. BA or MA in Theology, Catechetics, Youth Ministry, Education or related field required.
2. Eligible for Advanced Religious Education Certification with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
3. Two or more years’ experience in a parish or Catholic school setting as a teacher or catechist is preferred.
4. Proficient in MS Office products or Google Docs/Sheets.
5. Valid driver’s license for the State of Wisconsin preferred, since traveling to different parish is required.
6. Active Catholic able to participate in the sacramental life of the Church.

ADA Physical Requirements:
• The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs, talk and hear.
