Requirements: High School graduate, GED or equivalent, Secretarial Seminar training and some College courses or formal secretarial training, Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email and Internet; dictation and transcription, filing and other general office skills. Availability to work overtime as needed.
Description: The Administrative Assistant assists the Director in the management of the Office of Information Technology. Handles details of a confidential nature. Performs administrative and secretarial services. Requires broad knowledge of departmental operations and procedures, and a high level of experience, discretion and technical skills. Operates with great latitude for independent judgment and initiative. Uses PC equipment in performing assigned tasks. Assists in daily coverage of IT assistance (Help Desk) line. Provides technical assistance via Help Desk to end users.
