Description:
- Ensure the optimal functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety and HVAC, the maintenance of all interior and exterior facilities of church, rectory and parish centers.
- Primarily responsible for performing on-site custodial services, including the removal of recycling/trash, snow removal and performs all janitorial duties to maintain church, rectory and parish centers.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance service and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, plaster repair and mechanical equipment.
- Responsible for purchasing and maintaining adequate inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Open facilities daily, verify that all entrances are secured and responsible for security of parish facilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of formal education and related work experience.
- Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures of facilities and grounds management; basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and electrical Lift, push/pull 50lbs; climb ladders and stairs, as necessary; valid IL driver’s license; availability to work overtime as needed.
