Description:
- Play piano or guitar at two weekend masses.
- Rehearse with the cantor before mass.
- Assist at other services as needed: Funerals, Weddings, Christmas and Holy Week. Additional compensation for these services.
- Attend monthly Liturgy meetings. Sets and maintains a regular schedule for these duties.
- Honor the Catholic faith and traditions.
- Knowledge of Catholic Liturgical music and contemporary liturgical trends.
- Have good organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works independently as well as following pastoral directives.
- This part time employee will be considered a church professional staff member, and will work with and under the direction of the Music Director and Pastor.
- This employee will work as a team with all church staff, as well as volunteers.
- Suggested hours: 7 hours a week, 1 to 2 weekend liturgies and 4 to 5 hours preparation/ rehearsal.
Requirements:
Skilled leader in leading the assembly's worship for 2 weekend masses, Saturday Vigil and one Sunday Mass.
