Description:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the management of building operating systems & routine maintenance of the Parish facilities as well as the oversight of purchasing and sub-contractor contracts to achieve the smooth operation of the Parish’s daily logistical requirements.
Some examples of duties include:
1) Monitor and manage routine / preventative maintenance of the parish buildings, grounds and equipment including but not limited to HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, phone systems, and building security.
2) Supervise internal custodian staff and external custodial services for all campus buildings.
3) Manage event work orders received by interacting with the event coordinators and directing custodial services to prepare for and work at the events.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary training in a relevant field, including electrical, plumbing and/or carpentry.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Facilities Management.
- Demonstrated time management & project management skills.
- Demonstrated communications skills both verbal and written (English proficiency is required).
- Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.
