Description:

With direction from, and in conjunction with the Pastor, the Senior Director is responsible for assisting the Pastor with overall evangelization and lifelong formation efforts to ensure everyone in the parish encounters Jesus Christ and deepens their commitment to Him and His Church. Working in close collaboration with the Pastor, Principal, and Director of Parish Strategy & Planning, the Senior Director is responsible for day to day management, coordination and execution of task of the ministries at Saint Clement.

The Senior Director helps coordinate and direct the work of the staff involved in ministry related work and tracks progress, communicates updates to all appropriate partners, helps resolve issues and ensures the Ministry & Evangelization teams have access to adequate resources.

Responsibilities

•Ensures successful execution of all ministry related goals.

•Serves as a coach for others on the team and is considered credible with an acknowledged expertise in their field and able to offer high value insights.

•Provides strategic and planning assistance to all Ministry and Evangelization staff.

•Coordinates division of work, resources and planning for the department.

•Develops relationships with the Saint Clement Staff, Pastoral Council, and lay leaders of Evangelization and Engagement Teams. Ensures an effective flow of information and the leveraging of ideas and resources.

•Maintains a focus on delivery and motivates others to reach goals.

•Ensures compliance with Archdiocesan policies, regulations and budget guidelines.

•Increases skills and knowledge through continuing education, attending conferences and reading appropriate literature.

•All other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree Theology, Pastoral Studies, Faith Formation or equivalent.
  • Previous experience leading a parish faith formation program.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, parish leaders and volunteers.
  • Practicing Catholic with understanding and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, faithful, joyful witness, persistent, available, fair and balanced, dependable, person of integrity, sensitive to cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity and openness to the needs of the parishioners.
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects, flexible, sound judgment, and comfortable with change.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Comprehensive vision and understanding of lifelong formation and evangelization.
  • Fluent in related Church documents, especially national and local.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technology used for communicating and presenting.
