Description:
St. Gall has an immediate need for a part-time, non-exempt, non-benefit eligible maintenance employee, with possibilities of promoting to full time with benefits. The individual will work under immediate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Able to make building repairs and move heavy furniture as required.
• Perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, electricity.
• Upkeep of buildings; church, rectory, convent, gym and school.
• Experience in mopping, stripping and waxing floors, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
• Responsible for cleaning, polishing, painting, maintaining light fixtures, rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairways, floors, etc.
• Snow removal, mowing, and keep parish grounds clean and beautiful.
• May be given various other assignment and projects consistent with the responsibility level and general duties of position.
Requirements:
*Bilingual: English/Spanish
*High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
*Working knowledge of general high school matter including basic math and English skills.
* Three years of experience in maintenance or related area.
