Requirements:
1. A practicing Catholic and active member of a parish community. 2. Training and experience with the USCCB Renewing the Vision/A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry and the National Directory for Catechesis. 3. Completed all required Virtus Training and is current with Virtus ongoing requirements and submit to and pass the required Archdiocesan background checks and Mandated Reporter Training.Attend intercultural and Anti-racism training. Education Preferred: 1. BS/BA or the equivalent in education and/or experience. 2. Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies from the Archdiocese of Chicago.May be completed as part of ongoing formation and training after employment. Experience Preferred: Three to Five year’s administrative experience at the parish level. Experience working with Jr. High and High School aged youth. Skills Required: 1. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. 2. Computer literate and or willing to be trained 3. Possess networking and collaborative skills. 4. Valid driver’s license and own transportation. 5. Exhibit cultural awareness and sensitivity,strong leadership abilities,self-management and multitasking skills. 6. Enjoys working with youth and exhibits a love for the Catholic faith. Salary, Compensation: According to established Archdiocesan and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church guidelines for full time Youth and Young Adult Minister position.
