Description:

Provide evangelization and faith formation at St. Raymond Parish. Works in collaboration with the school principal, Pastor and religious education personnel and volunteers to provide religious education for the families and parishioners of St. Raymond Parish Community. Responsibilities include: 1.Comfortable in a public role of leadership and engaging with others with others in faith formation. 2.Competent in sharing quality theology as to relates to the mission of the church. 3. Practical skills in supporting and passing on faith to individuals. Job Responsibilities: •Youth Formation of students grades K-8 in school and religious education program. •Curriculum and sacramental preparation for Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation. •Catechetical leader who provides effective leadership and service in the spirit of collaboration. •Attends and participates in meetings provided by the Archdiocesan Office of Life Long Faith Formation. • Attends meeting with ministry leaders and other parish leaders. •Provides support to the parish youth formation team/commission. •Attend parish team meetings. Religious Education Program: Catechist recruitment, provide training and support for catechists, create curriculum, and work with parent groups, sacramental prep meetings with parents. School: Assist with worship, liturgies, and prayer services, curriculum resource; sacramental prep meetings with parents. Adult Formation: Supervise and animates opportunities for adults to continue to grow in their faith. Support existing groups in adult formation throughout the parish. Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Theology; Archdiocesan Catechist Certification; Experience in working with Children; Protecting God’s Children trained. Must have flexibility in work hours with visibility and availability to parishioners. Energetically displays passion for guiding faith formation for parish families. Shows strong leadership skills grounded in servant-leader viewpoint.
