Description:

We are seeking a Director of Music Ministry who is dynamic and pastoral to serve as part of the staff of Incarnation Catholic Parish. Music is an essential part of our worship and we place a high value on quality music that inspires our participation in the Church’s worship. Responsibilities include: collaborates with Pastor, staff, and parishioners in providing music for all Liturgical Services: 4 weekend Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, Christmas, Sacred Triduum, Sacramental Liturgies, School and Religious Education Masses, Funerals and Weddings and other possible extra Liturgies throughout the year; develops parish repertoire and selects music for all Liturgies; recruits, develops, trains, rehearses, directs and encourages participation within the congregation of our Parish Choir, Hand Bell Choir, Children’s Choirs (REP & School) Cantors and Instrumentalists; participates in staff meetings and development; maintains a music page on the Parish’s website; works cooperatively with staff to plan REP, seasonal and holiday themes and Liturgies; plans, coordinates and provides music for all Funerals and Weddings in consultation with families of the deceased and engaged couples; designs worship aids and/or booklets if necessary; oversees maintenance of church/musical equipment. Music Director should be comfortable with a flexible schedule, possess willingness to work well with volunteers, and have a passion for good traditional Liturgy and quality music. Requirements:

Previous experience in Catholic Parish Music and Catholic Liturgy is desirable as well as proficiency in keyboard (organ and piano) and voice.
