Description:
Direct the religious education program for grades 1 through 7 (total of approximately 300 students) including grades 6-7 IMPACT, two summer programs, sacrament preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist, and RCIC. Certification required within one year. Full job description on request. Serve as a member of the Pastoral Staff.
Requirements:
Education Required: BS or BA, non-religious major, and Archdiocesan Cathechist Certification. Education Preferred: BS or BA, with major in theology, education, pastoral studies, or relevant to the position. Master's Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Pastoral Studies, or other related field relevant to position. Advanced Certificate in Catechetical Leadership, Religious Education, or Youth Ministry from a Catholic Institution or diocese. Completion of Lay Ministry program, Diaconate program, or other extensive non-academic, formalized ministerial training. Experience Required: Catechetical Leadership experience in any diocese, parish, or Catholic school. Experience Preferred: Previous work in the field of education, administration, management, program/level coordinator, training of volunteer catechists, youth ministers, and/or other ministers. Skills Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Effective written and oral communication. Effectively manage and negotiate confilct.
