Description:
The Organist/Pianist will be responsible for the following: Planning and scheduling family-friendly liturgical music for the 8:30 Sunday Mass in English; Provide training and guidance for cantors; Manage equipment and instruments; Investigate possible purchase of a piano; Ensure the sound system is functional and operational; Consult with musicians of other Masses when needed. Collaborate with the Clergy, Religious Education Director, and other staff members. Provide consultation and assistance as needed. Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Requirements:
This person will be an hourly staff member with a thorough understanding of Roman Catholic liturgy. The ideal candidate is proficient in piano and organ and will have the ability to choose music and direct choirs and cantors as needed. Bachelor’s Degree required. Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
