Description:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, dusts, mops, and vacuums floors using equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum, buffer and shampooer.
- Removes trash from offices, classrooms, and all work areas.
- Thoroughly cleans/sanitizes all areas assigned in the buildings, including school bathrooms, classrooms, and hallways/common areas.
- Replenishes soap, towels, tissue containers, and performs related tasks.
- Inventory of supplies.
- Completes minor repairs in designated buildings.
- May paint interior of designated buildings, washing of windows and cleaning gutters.
- Responsible for snow removal when necessary. Snow removal/salt and cleaning of common areas when weather requires additional cleaning.
- Able to work as a team member and assist team members as needed.
- Floor maintenance strip wash and wax 2 times a year.
- May be given various other assignments and projects consistent with the responsibility level and general duties as noted above.
- Check campus lighting in and out.
- Respond to emergency requests.
- Fill in for other maintenance staff when necessary.
- Assist with special event set-up/take down and other necessary relevant requirements.
- Available for overtime and emergency calls when needed.
- Perform pool chemical checks, clean pool areas and report discrepancies.
- Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM). Schedule subject to change, when needed.
Requirements:
Education Required: Working knowledge of general High School matter, including basic Math and English skills.
Education Preferred: High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
Experience Required: One year of experience in maintenance or a related area.
Experience Preferred: One year of experience in maintenance or a related area.
Skills Required: Knowledge in the procedures and safety measures of facilities and grounds maintenance.
Skills Preferred: Bi-lingual Spanish/English.
Other Required: Valid Driver's License. Ability to work overtime as needed.
