Description:

  • Provide administrative support to the Pastor, staff and church.
  • Handle day-to-day office responsibilities.

Examples of other duties may include:

  • Completion of sacramental records and certificates.
  • Assisting the Wedding Coordinator in preparation and completion of required paperwork.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the weekly bulletin, electronic newsletters, updating social media, and website.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative support experience in a multi-person office.
  • Roman Catholic preferred as well as 5-10 years of administrative support in a Catholic Church or other not-for-profit office.

Skills required:

  • Use of Microsoft Suite products, which includes Publisher, Teams; Database Management and Adobe.
  • Knowledgeable of Catholic traditions and practices.
  • Knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Secretarial duties such as answering the phone, greeting guests at the door and dealing with the public.
  • Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values.
