We build community and foster Christian personhood in order that we might serve and celebrate Christ’s presence in our Catholic Doctrine by providing formation in understanding and traditions.
Responsibilities include:
• Weekly Choir Rehearsals (Tuesday evenings, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm). Periodic Section Leader rehearsals starting approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled choir rehearsal time
• Sunday Liturgy (9:30 am Mass), 8:45 am rehearsal
• Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Holy Week, Easter, Confirmation, First Communion, other liturgies at which the Parish Choir sings
• Additional liturgies singing as part of an SATB Scholas (for example – Advent Vespers, Epiphany Lessons and Carols, All Souls Mass)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Experience in singing choral music and music sight-reading skills is required
• Individuals will be subject to a background check, and will also be required to attend VIRTUS Training and have an on-line VIRTUS account
• Must support the mission, philosophy, objectives and policies of St. Joan of Arc Parish, the Catholic Church, and the Diocese of Joliet
• Practicing Catholic
