Description:

Secures funding crucial to the support of Mount Carmel High School. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies necessary to secure restricted and unrestricted gifts as part of school development initiatives led by the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The Director of Annual Giving and Scholarships is responsible for the administration of scholarships including, but not limited to collecting and reporting scholarship funds, communicating with benefactors, external funding organizations, parents and recipients as well as collaborating with the Principal and Finance Director for specific needs. The position is also responsible for the Annual Fund Appeals.

Requirements:

Education and Experience: Required: • Education – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience • Experience – Minimum of two years of experience in the field of Development • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to interact and cultivate relationships with key donors and alumni • Ability to manage difficult interpersonal situations including being rejected • Creative, collaborative and open minded individual • Attention to organization and detail • Strong oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn school systems • Available for occasional nights and weekends • Driving
