Description:
Holy Cross Parish, a vibrant, welcoming parish with 1,100 families, seeks a Youth Minister for grades 9-12. The Youth Minister provides leadership for all aspects of youth formation programs for teens (grades 9-12). The Youth Minister plans and leads catechetical sessions, retreats, service projects, prayer services and parent meetings for grades 9-12. The Coordinator recruits, trains and supports all catechetical volunteers in the Youth Ministry program. This person also leads sacramental preparation for Confirmation in their Junior year of High School.
Requirements:
Holy Cross is seeking a creative, dynamic Catholic that is comfortable leading teens and parents on their faith journey; BA in Theology or related field required, MA in Theology, Faith Formation, Education, Educational Administration or related field is preferred; Demonstrates competence in Theology, Catechesis, Pastoral Ministry, and Administration; Experience with youth ministry is preferred; Strong communication skills; Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well organized; Has a holistic vision for lifelong formation; Able to collaborate well with others on staff as necessary; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, social media, and website development and maintenance.
