Description:

The Manager of Worship & Welcome fosters deeper participation in parish life by coordinating meaningful liturgical experiences and accompanying new parishioners in their journey toward belonging. Through a blend of organizational skill and pastoral care, this role helps parishioners encounter Christ through both the sacramental life and the welcoming community of Saint Clement Parish.

Responsibilities

New Member Engagement

o Serve as the primary point of contact for newly registered parishioners.

o Plan, produce, and host bi-monthly New Member Orientations in collaboration with the Evangelization & Faith Formation team.

o Guide new members in discerning next steps for involvement in parish pathways (e.g. Alpha, Small Groups, Service, Sacramental Preparation).

o Provide ongoing support and encouragement to help individuals move from welcome to belonging.

Liturgy Coordination

o Coordinate and maintain volunteer scheduling for liturgical ministries (lectors, greeters, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, etc.) using parish scheduling tools.

o Provide training and ongoing support for liturgical volunteers.

o Collaborate with staff and clergy to plan and execute liturgical celebrations and enhancements around weekend Masses and special feasts (e.g. special blessings, processions, All Saints, Triduum, etc.).

o Ensure detailed preparation and smooth execution of all elements related to the liturgical environment and volunteer roles.

o Coordinates the Young Adult Liturgy Club

Collaboration and Communication

o Work closely with clergy, staff, and volunteer leaders to align liturgical and engagement efforts with parish mission and liturgical seasons.

o Contribute creative ideas and best practices to deepen the parish’s culture of hospitality and prayerful worship.

o Support liturgical formation and spiritual development of volunteers and new members.

• All other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ experience in ministry, liturgy, or hospitality—preferably in a Catholic parish or similar setting.

• Passion for fostering welcome, belonging, and active participation in parish life.

• Familiarity with Catholic liturgical norms and practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; comfortable leading groups and managing multiple tasks.

• Practicing Catholic with an appreciation of Catholic teachings and sacramental life.

• Strong communication skills—written, spoken, and digital.

• Self-motivated, pastoral, detail-oriented, collaborative, joyful, and dependable.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and volunteer scheduling tools (e.g. Ministry Scheduler Pro or equivalent).

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, liturgy, communications, or a related field preferred.
