Description:

Immaculate Conception & St. Joseph (ICSJ) Parish is seeking a Sacramental Coordinator to oversee the administration, design, development, direction, and evaluation of the parish Sacramental Program. Our mission is to foster lifelong disciples of Christ who are committed to prayer, service, growth, sharing, and belonging in the name of Jesus.

This position will oversee that Children’s Sacramental Program including First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation. Currently, our parish school serves 260 students, and our Religious Education Program, in collaboration with St. Michael's Parish in Old Town, includes another 14 students.

The Sacramental Coordinator organizes the celebrations of weddings and baptisms that are performed at ICSJ parish. This position will also assist parishioners who are seeking to celebrate these sacraments outside of our parish. There is an average of about 50 weddings and 50 baptisms that are performed annually at ICSJ.

This role is expected to require 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling. We ask that the person in this position work in-office at least two days per week and attend weekly staff meetings. The remaining hours can be worked remotely.

The Sacramental Coordinator acts in accordance with Archdiocesan policies, procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of ministry, education, nonprofit or related work experience.

• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.

• Understanding and knowledge about the Sacraments of the Catholic Church.

• Excellent organizational and project managements skills.

• Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travel between two parish worship sites, (parish offices and school campuses are located at both Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph).

• Work hours require weekdays, evenings and weekends.

• Strong demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products and G-suite.

• Ability to work in team environment and has a “Service Mindset” when working with others.

• Ability to identify issues and propose recommendations/solutions.

• Can be entrusted with highly confidential information.

• Strong drive to achieve results.

• Present at weekly staff meetings, able to be present and work from parish office twice a week.

• Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
