Description:
The Maintenance Assistant at St. Christina Catholic Parish would assist the Maintenance Supervisor in general tasks throughout the campus. St. Christina is a historical Parish in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood neighborhood. This Parish has been a staple of this community for almost 100 years.
In this crucial role, the Maintenance Assistant will be expected to perform various activities as directed to keep the general cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of the Parish campus. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
With this being a Part-Time position, St. Christina has flexibility to work with candidates based upon their own schedule & needs.
Responsibilities include: Refuse management, floor & carpet cleaning, landscape management, event set-up including positioning of tables, chairs, etc.
Requirements:
- A willingness to learn or a general understanding of building maintenance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work within the St. Christina team.
- The physical ability to lift objects, climb ladders and perform physical tasks.
