Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Handles all bookkeeping function including but not limited to:
a. reconciling bank accounts.
b. processing/posting of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursement are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
c. process cash receipts, recording/posting deposits.
d. post wire transfers, ACH and credit card transactions.
e. gather Procurement Card Expense reports and receipts submitted by each cardholder on a monthly basis.
f. Post payroll journal entries.
g. Oversee budget to actual and timely alerts on expense budget overruns.
h. Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing journal entries.
2. Assists with preparing materials for finance council meeting.
3. Assists with payment of salaries, benefits and other payroll functions including benefit deduction and garnishments.
4. Submits payroll registers for Operations Director review and approval prior to payroll submission.
5. Assists with fund raising events, pledge drives, and parish offertory collections.
6. Maintains files in an orderly and timely fashion. Purges files as indicated by Archives and Record’s guidelines.
7. Attends meetings as necessary including but not limited to staff meetings, finance council or parish council.

Requirements:
We are seeking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred or some college or formal business and/or accounting education required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in parish or business or the equivalent combination of formal education and related work experience.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and policies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Quickbooks required.
- Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
