Description:
The Business Manager role is that of a professional administrator responsible for all financial aspects of the parish and school including financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, internal controls, accounts payable, human resources, legal matters, and insurance. The Business Manager ensures that the parish and school adhere to generally accepted accounting principles as well as financial reporting guidelines of the Diocese of Joliet. Candidates must support the mission, philosophy, objectives and policies of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Joliet. The Parish Business Manager is a person of faith committed to Gospel values. Requirements:
Competencies and Education
•Understands and supports the mission and purpose of the Church, school, and parish.
•Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of at least 10 years of accounting experience, including some managerial experience.
•Is knowledgeable of safety and security issues.
•Is knowledgeable of all personnel and human resource issues.
•Has five years of business or parish related accounting experience.
•Possesses acumen of computer software, namely Microsoft Office, accounting software, FACTS tuition management, general ledger systems, payroll systems, and parish contribution data systems.
