Maryville is a human services organization established as an orphanage by the Archdiocese of Chicago following the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. We offer many opportunities for growth, a rewarding experience and an excellent benefits package About the Director of Strategic Performance Position The Director of Strategic Performance is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program at Maryville Academy and spearheading the organization’s accreditation efforts through the Council on Accreditation (COA). This includes but is not limited to spearheading the following activities: identifying, collecting, analyzing, and reporting program and organizational performance data and client outcomes; developing and implementing strategies that inform program and organizational performance and short- and long-term planning; and developing systems and processes that build the organization’s CQI capacity and supports a culture of mission-oriented growth. Essential functions include: Continuous Quality Improvement, Supervision and Training and Organization Accreditation & Licensing.

Requirements:

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field from an accredited institution required; a Master's degree preferred; A minimum of 5 years of experience in a child welfare or social service organization, or in a non-profit environment; Superior skills in data analysis and presentation of outcomes to all levels of staff and relevant external shareholders; A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in quality improvement and accreditation activities. Skills /Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and Illinois rules and regulations affecting the interest of Maryville Academy; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, professional journals and technical procedures; familiarity with COA accreditation requirements; Excellent computer skills including extensive experience using spreadsheets and graphs; Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changes in agency policies, procedures, and priorities; exercise good judgment while fulfilling responsibilities; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must possess analytical, time-management, and decision-making qualities; Ability to effectively present Maryville Academy’s interests with external regulators; ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies and others, as necessary; Personal commitment to the mission and objectives of Maryville Academy, including a passion for the care and well-being of children and their families; Ability to work independently and demonstrate a cooperative spirit. Physical Demands: Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods; Required to lift/ move objects weighing in excess of 20 pounds; Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above. Environment and Scheduling: Work is performed in designated office areas; Duties may involve contact with youth who may be threatening, aggressive and/or under the influence of drugs or alcohol; Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary; May be scheduled to work on weekends and/or holidays.
