Description:

General Responsibilities Essential Functions Handles all bookkeeping functions including but not limited to: Reconciliation of bank accounts Processes/posts accounts payable transactions and ensures that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in a timely manner Processes cash receipts, records/posts deposits and all other bank transactions Gathers Procurement Card details and receipts from each cardholder monthly Process payroll and post payroll journal entries Prepares monthly financial reports (as requested) Oversees budget to actual and alerts Principal of actual to budget expense overruns Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed Ensures proper internal controls are in place and followed Utilizes Archdiocesan best practices Complete administration of FACTs system including-but not limited to- billing setup, system updates, report generation, individual account updates, family contracts, etc. Assist new families in application process and respond to questions about Financial Aid Manage student scholarships Respond to various questions from members of the school community in an accurate and timely manner Additional Duties- Data Management Maintain accurate enrollment reports Manage Powerschool Add new students, make changes, print trimester report, manage schedules ISBE and OCS reporting Assist new families with the entire registration process (PowerSchool, FACTS, uniforms, etc.) Assist with end of year ordering for textbooks and general supplies Track all required drills (Fire and other Emergency) Maintains files in an organized and timely fashion Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal

Requirements:

Skills and Experience required Minimum of Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline, e.g. Accounting, Finance, preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, G Suite, and Quickbooks Familiarity with PowerSchool and FACTS reporting system Payroll Processing Basic knowledge of accounting practices and regulations, and federal, state and city laws Friendly attitude towards all families and visitors to the school Can be entrusted with highly confidential information Excellent organizational and time management competencies Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values
