Position Summary

The Priest Corner Intake Program Coordinator’s main function is to serve as the first point of entry for the needs of priests and coordinate service to the appropriate Priest Corner Leader. This role is the gatekeeper and tracker of service among the various Vicar General Departments (aka Priest Corner) that serve Archdiocesan, Extern, International and Religious priests. He/She will triage and funnel walk-ins, calls, texts, and emails The Intake Program Coordinator is also responsible for Priest Corner Compliance Tracking (including Crystal Reports and Protection of Minor Accountabilities/Misconduct) and Performance Management. He/She will also provide guidance and support to the Senior Administrative Assistants within Priest Corner.

Essential Position Functions

  • Serves as key contact to respond to needs of priests in the Archdiocese of Chicago or seeking to minister In the Archdiocese.
  • Conduct an assessment of services needed by priests and coordinate service.
  • Understand resources available for priests, including knowledge of Archdiocesan departments and services (includes Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Protection of Children and Youth).
  • Answer phone calls, texts, and emails from priests and meet with “walk-in” inquiries to triage their inquiries and direct them to the appropriate agency for response to their inquiries.
  • Compliance Coordinator and Tracker for:

o Protection of Minors Accountabilities and Misconduct

o Crystal Compliance Reports

o Leading in a Renewed Church

o Letter of Good Standing •

  • Responsible for monthly Compliance Reports to Vicar General and Director of Administration.
  • Responsible for Priest Corner Performance Management (metrics, benchmarks, and best practices and monthly report to Vicar General and Director of Administration.
  • Oversees and presents Performance Management Quarterly Reports to Priest Corner Committee
  • Serve as liaison to Vicar for Priest Case Manager and Office for Protection of Children and Youth.
  • Provide guidance and support to Senior Administrative Assistants in Priest Corner.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in customer service and response.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Calendar Invites, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency is database entry and tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superb professionalism, highly organized self-starter, with ability to prioritize with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with other agencies of the Vicar General’s department and other archdiocesan departments and organizations. Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Seven years in corporate or non-profit roles with experience working in a multidisciplinary team. • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish or Polish a plus.
