Description:
The Director of Music and Liturgy plans, manages, and oversees liturgical celebrations to include Sunday Masses, Weddings, Funerals, etc,. Acts as choir director for one or more choirs; develops, supports, and grows all choirs and their choir directors while maintaining the excellent reputation of St. Gall Church/St. Simon Chapel’s Music Ministry. Participates as an active member and in collaboration with the Pastor and Liturgy team. Creates and manages the Music ministry and Liturgy budget.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all parish liturgies (Sunday Masses, Weddings, Funerals, etc.)
- Collaborates with the Pastor on liturgies and special events.
- Direct adult choirs.
- Direct liturgy board.
- Coordinate school liturgies.
- Creates and communicates support documents (WAG,MNC) for pastoral staff and ministry leaders.
- Responsible for ordering liturgical supplies.
- Assist in training for Liturgical Ministries, Audio/Visual support, and maintenance of all sound equipment in the church.
- Arrange confessors as needed.
- Develop and train parish cantors.
- Maintain St. Gall Parish/St. Simon Chapel’s music library.
- Manage and create Music Ministry & Liturgy budgets.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience leading a church music program along with an advance knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgy and role of music therein.
- Proficiency in piano or any musical instrument.
- Knowledge of Audio/Sound desired.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and creative.
- Ability to work weekends and some evenings.
- Bilingual a plus.
