Description:
•Collaborates with Director of Liturgy and team to identify needs and to plan sacred music.
•Responsible for music selection, preparation and assembly preparation for Masses, Holy Days, sacramental liturgies, and special liturgies.
•Recruits, forms and directs parish choirs.
•Recruits, forms and directs cantors.
•Participates in Music Team meetings.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in conducting, accompaniment (organ skills a plus), choral repertoire.
- Practicing Catholic with knowledge of liturgical norms.
- Knowledgeable of church music in a variety of forms.
- Ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, parish leaders and volunteers.
