Description:
All Saints-St. Anthony Parish is seeking a director of liturgical music for our Sunday Morning English Mass. The parish is located in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood and has recently introduced a new weekend mass schedule to better serve the needs and new realities of our historic parish. Responsibilities include: Selection and direction of music/song for our 9:00am Sunday Mass. Develop a choir* which will lead the congregation in song twice a month. Once choir is formed the director will be responsible for scheduled rehearsal and practice sessions. Work with pastor, liturgical ministers and pastoral staff to responsibly prepare for the liturgical seasons. Position begins July 2017. *The parish hasn’t had a choir for several years. We are looking for innovative and creative models for our choir. Director should be flexible with both traditional and non-traditional models of choir. Remuneration: Stipend per liturgy and rehearsal. Negotiable within Archdiocesan guidelines.
