Description:
St. Colette Parish in Rolling Meadows, IL, a suburban parish of 1000 families, is currently seeking a full-time Director or Coordinator of a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Faith Formation. This person will be responsible, along with the pastoral staff & Religious Education Board for developing and implementing a plan for lifelong comprehensive and systematic catechesis as it pertains to children in grades K-8, high school & adult formation. Currently, this involves overseeing a developmentally appropriate faith formation program for children grades K-8 and opportunities for family formation, sacramental preparation for students and their parents in both the Parish Faith Formation Program and the Catholic School, Spirited Hearts, and other programs in collaboration with the pastoral staff as needed. The Director or Coordinator of Faith Formation will recruit, train, and supervise catechists, volunteers and support staff. This person will report to the Pastor and collaborate with the pastor, parish staff & the Religious Education Board. Requirements:
Coordinator of Faith Formation: Undergraduate studies in theology, religious education or related field and /or experience in parish catechetical ministry. Director of Faith Formation: Master’s Degree in theology, religious education or related field and experience in parish catechetical ministry. Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
