Description:
Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Chicago Illinois is a growing 1500+ family parish in the heart of the Lake View neighborhood. Filled with young families and young adults who are seeking community and companionship as disciples of Jesus Christ, the parish is seeking a full-time employee to join its pastoral team. This team member will contribute collaboratively with other team members on faith formation programming for all ages. The successful candidate is a faith-filled Catholic who possess strong public speaking skills, writing skills, and organizational skills as well as familiarity with technology including Microsoft Office suite, social media, and web based communication. As a member of the team, this employee will not only direct specifically assigned programs, but also assist the Pastor and Pastoral Associate with faith formation of all ages, including parents preparing for baptism, religious education of children through a family-catechesis model, formation of school faculty, developing programs for youth and young adults, and parish formation programs for adults. Candidate will have a regular presence on Sundays during parish worship. Compensation will commiserate with Archdiocese of Chicago guidelines regarding experience, education, and responsibilities. Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree and 5+ years experience in similar role are required. Masters Degree in theology or divinity preferred. Candidate should be certified as a Lay Ecclesial Minister or Certified Catechist or willing to continue his/her education to attain certification.
