Basic Functions The Events Coordinator collaborates with key professionals as well as Parish Vitality and Mission staff to assist in executing events and calendared projects. Responsible for the successful completion of system events, including (but not limited to) professional gatherings and retreats, award ceremonies, fund-raisers, technology conferences, and other events furthering systemic growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Creates and coordinates Office calendar to reflect the priority of providing resources the events.*
  • Work with other staff on Archdiocesan events that range from small spiritual and formation sessions to large, 2000+ person events..*
  • Executes the details around Archdiocese calendared events: Leadership Days, Professional Development, Awards, retreats, webinars, Archdiocese Staff Days, Pastors’ Events, and other events as developed by Archdiocesan Staff and approved by the Director.*
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Develops relationships with product suppliers, vendors and providers.
  • Manages on-line registration process for events.
  • Manages payment process for events, and tracking of deposits.
  • Serves on other committees and task forces as assigned.
  • Pursues opportunities for spiritual and professional growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Required:      Bachelor's degree in liberal arts field or related

Experience Required:     Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service and administrative duties; experience in coordinating successful events

Skills Required                 Strong customer service skills and attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, organizational skills, time management, ability to handle complex projects, collegiality, fairness, ability to engage other AoC Departments and outside vendors.
