Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support and coordination to the Vicar for Professional and Pastoral Development.  This position will be responsible for maintaining and composing correspondence, responding to requests, coordinating and scheduling meetings and events.     

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with requests for Vicar 
  • Maintains and coordinates calendars, schedules varied, complex meetings, and external events. 
  • Assists with proofreading of correspondence and communications and exhibits and strong attention to detail.
  • Responsible for meeting preparation and follow-up assistance.  
  • Prepares correspondence and other external communications.

 

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an Administrative support role.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail, especially in reviewing and producing communications to internal and external audiences. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels internally and externally. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member. 
  • Ability to set priorities; handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and to display solid judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner. 
  • Proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, proofreading,  
  • Discretion when dealing with highly sensitive information  
  • Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
