Description:
Basic Functions: Performs maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain school and parish offices. Responsible for cleaning the school and parish offices.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sweeps, dusts, mops, strips, waxes, and vacuums floors using equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum, buffer, and shampooer.
2. Removes trash from offices and all work areas.
3. Cleans restrooms, mixes cleaning solutions to appropriate strength.
4. Replenishes soap, towels and tissue containers and performs related tasks.
5. Completes minor repairs in designated buildings.
6. Paint interior of designated buildings.
7. Perform landscaping, lawn mowing, etc. as needed of parish grounds.
8. Operate snow removal equipment, when necessary.
9. Other custodial responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements:
Requirements and Preferences
Education Required: Working knowledge of general High School matter including basic Math and English skills.
Experience Preferred: Three years of experience in maintenance or a related area.
Skills Required: Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures of facilities and grounds maintenance.
Other Required: *Lift, push/pull 50lbs. Climb ladders and stairs as necessary. Valid Driver’s license. Availability to work overtime as needed.
