Description:
Two Northwest Milwaukee Catholic parishes, Our Lady of Good Hope and St. Bernadette, are looking for a joint Director of Liturgy & Music.
The joint Director of Liturgy & Music:
~ Provides music for all liturgies, including Saturday and Sunday parish Masses, Holy Day Masses, weddings, reconciliation services, memorial services, funerals, Confirmation, First Communion, and others as directed by the pastor.
~ Works with the Director of Administrative Services to budget for Liturgy & Music.
~ Reviews and maintains copyright privileges.
~ Directs, trains, and coordinates scheduling for all choirs, as well as cantors and instrumentalists.
~ Develops orders of worship for various liturgical seasons and celebrations.
~ Attends parish staff meetings and joint Prayer & Worship Committee meetings.
~ Coordinates Eucharistic minister, lector, usher, greeter, server, and sacristan recruitment, training, and scheduling.
~ Prepares prayer intentions and announcements for weekend Masses.
~ Schedules help-out priests and substitute musicians.

Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience in a parish setting as Organist/Choir Director.
- Organ/piano skills needed.
- Ability to direct choirs and cantors.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Strong communication skills.
- Practicing Catholic.
