Description:
Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining campus buildings, adjacent walks and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition. Provides assistance to staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
Responsibilities Include:
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, stairways, and windows.
• Sweeps, dusts, mops, and vacuums floors using equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum, buffer and shampooer.
• Thoroughly cleans/sanitizes all areas assigned in the buildings, including church and office bathrooms, and hallways/common areas.
• Inventory of supplies.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills.
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
• Performs touch up and finish painting.
• Empties waste baskets.
• Replenishes restroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms and function rooms.
• Clears snow from entrances and walkways.
• Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.
• Available and responds for overtime and emergency calls when needed.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Opens and closes buildings according to security procedures.
• May be given various other assignments and projects consistent with the responsibility level and general duties as noted above.
