Description:
St. Alphonsus Liguori Parish is looking for an energetic, empowering visionary to take over the direction of our growing and engaged youth ministry program: TCIA – Teen Catholics In Action (https://saintalphonsusph.org/tcia-teen-catholics-in-action). This program began three years ago under the direction of our youth minister who now must retire. The program is very strong. We have a core advisory group of teens who meet once/month. They are instrumental in organizing and running our new monthly “Faith to Move Mountains” teen involved liturgy, M&M Mass, which is also once/month. Other TCIA events open to all teens gr 7-12 include service in the local community, fun events & activities, a Youth Awards Event to honor all youth & teens who serve our parish, a Discovery Retreat for gr 9-12, and our popular summer mission trips and leadership conference. Although the program is well formed and functioning, we are looking for someone who has new ideas to bring to the parish while recognizing the gifts of a developed program already in place. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who values the many gifts of our teens and empowers them to be leaders in their church and in the world.
