Description:

Holy Cross Parish, a vibrant, welcoming parish with 1,100 families, seeks a Director of Evangelization/Adult Formation. The Director provides leadership for all aspects of parish formation programs for adults. The Director of Evangelization/Adult Formation: Collaborates with the pastor, under his supervision, and with other members of the parish staff in the overall ministry of the parish. Participates in meetings of the core parish staff and meetings at the Archdiocesan levels. Oversees and works with RCIA candidates and team in preparing adult candidates for the Sacraments of Initiation and /or reception into full Communion with the Catholic Church. Oversees and coordinates adult small groups for Advent, Lent, summer and other adult small groups including book club meetings. Oversees and works with Men’s Formation (formerly CRHP) and other adult spiritual renewal programs. Oversees and coordinates welcome for new parishioners with the Parish Pastoral Council. Coordinates and oversees our yearly Lenten project. Serves as the Staff liaison to the Parish Pastoral Council. Serves as staff liaison to baptismal and marriage preparation programs. Is visible and available on Sunday mornings to welcome worshippers to our church. Leads prayer as called for in appropriate situations: wake services & Thursday morning Communion Services. Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

Holy Cross is seeking a creative, dynamic Catholic that is comfortable leading adults and parents on their faith journey; BA in Theology or related field required, MA in Theology, Faith Formation, Education, Educational Administration or related field is preferred; Demonstrates competence in Theology, Catechesis, Pastoral Ministry, and Administration; Experience with Adult Faith Formation is preferred; Strong communication skills; Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well organized; Has a holistic vision for lifelong formation; Able to collaborate well with others on staff as necessary; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, social media, and website development and maintenance.
