Description:
St. Columba Parish is located on the South East Side of Chicago just north of Calumet City. It is largely an English-speaking parish with a few ethnic members. We are seeking a weekend parish musician who will work with the Pastor in planning liturgies, selecting music and accompanying for all weekend Masses and Holy Days. The Masses are at 5:00pm on Saturday, 8:00am and 10:30am on Sunday. First option will be given for funerals, weddings and other celebrations of the Liturgical year. Position is available immediately. Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree or better in music is preferred, but above average skills at keyboard and cantoring with experience is acceptable. The candidate should be familiar with Liturgical texts and Mass settings. Must be a practicing Catholic.
