Description:
St. Bernadette Parish is a vibrant faith community of 500 + families located in Evergreen Park, Illinois. We are seeking an individual who embraces the spirituality of Vatican II, has an appreciation for diverse styles of liturgical music, and possesses a music degree or equivalent experience. This part time Music Director/Organist must be an experience organist and choir director. Responsibilities include: providing music for Sunday and Holy Day Liturgies; recruit, train, and oversee Adult, Children's and Resurrection Funeral Choirs, and Cantors; be a part of the parish staff and parish liturgy planning committee.
Requirements:
Two years as a Music Director or five years as a musician in parish ministry is required. Proficient skill and experience in piano and/or organ and voice. Expected to direct and lead parish choir groups.
