Description:
Saint Richard Church, a vibrant faith community of 600+ families, is seeking an individual who embraces the spirituality of Vatican II, has an appreciation for diverse styles of liturgical music, music degree or equivalent experience. This full time/part time Music Director/Organist must be an experienced organist and choir director. Responsibilities will include: providing music for Sunday, Holy Day, and School Liturgies; recruit, train and oversee Adult, Children’s and Resurrection Funeral Choirs, and Cantors; be part of the parish staff and be a part of the parish Liturgy Committee; Full Time position would also include teaching Music in the Parish School (PK-8). Requirements:
Two years as Music Director or five years as musician in parish ministry required. Proficient knowledge and experience in piano and/or organ and voice. Expected to direct, practice and lead all parish choir groups.
