Job Title:

Parish Relationship Coordinator

Hours:

Full time

Parish:

Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church
8624 W Normal Ave
Niles, IL

Description:

DESCRIPTION OF THE PARISH RELATIONSHIP COORDINATOR (PRC)

The PRC assumes primary responsibility for cultivating a missionary spirit in the life, actions, and activities that flow out of the parish Ministry Center. This person serves as the primary point of contact for all guests of the Ministry Center, including phone calls and in-person guests.

Although this position incorporates elements of a traditional receptionist and office manager, it will be executed with the goal of fostering relationships directed towards evangelization.

The PRC ensures that the daily and weekly administrative tasks of the parish office are planned and executed to foster an encounter with the love of the Father in Jesus Christ. This missionary spirit motivates the work of the PRC as they seek to strengthen relationships with three groups: 1) Guests of the parish Ministry Center; 2) Our Lady of Ransom staff ministers; and 3) Our Lady of Ransom ministry leaders.

We are fully committed to seeking an individual who is prepared to look at and serve our parish life as it relates to community through the lens of the person of Jesus and His ability to be in relationship with all people - the most powerful as well as those most outside the margins.

This position takes the skill set of a parish secretary and intentionally elevates it to prioritize relationships as a bridge to share the Gospel with staff, parishioners, volunteers, and strangers. This role and position, while transitional and developmental, is also a permanent full time opportunity for the right person to be able to impact both Catholic and secular culture in dynamic and gospel-driven ways.

We are committed to paying a just wage based on the right person. If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please visit: www.olransom.org/prc

To apply, please send a current resume, with both Church ministry and secular work, and listing any discerned charisms, to: resumes@olransom.org
