Description:
The Pastoral Associate – Adult Formation and Spiritualty at St. Francis Xavier Church works as a full-time pastoral minister involved in a variety of ministries that serve to support and strengthen the life of the parish. The Pastoral Associate is a member of the pastoral team. The focus of the Pastoral Associate is twofold: 1) to support the work of the parish through collaboration with staff members, lay ministers and area leaders in mission and ministry; and 2) to minister to parishioners and other guests by providing a pastoral presence and responding to specific needs through pastoral care and adult faith formation.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in theology or its equivalent - Excellent people skills - Experience in teaching, preaching, and pastoral counseling/ spiritual direction - An approach to ministry rooted in personal prayer and scriptural reflection - Experience working in a collaborative environment - Excellent organizational skills
