Description:
Primary responsibilities • Sweep and mop floors. • Move heavy equipment and furniture. • Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces. • Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment. • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. • Steam-clean carpets. • Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. • Mix various cleaning agents. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. • Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean. • Apply wax to coat floors and buff. • Apply sealant to floors. • Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants. • Identify and report possible repairs. • Shovel snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on surface. Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums carpets, mop floors, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Setup, take down, and meeting/event support for all buildings.
Requirements:
Education Preferred: Highschool Diploma or GED. Experience Required: Ability to take and execute setup request; Ability to work independently and efficiently; 3 to 5 years experience. Skills Required: Ability to lift 50lbs; Pass a school background check. Personal Traits: Friendly, adaptable, works well with guest, non-judgmental, good communicator. Must have access to a vehicle to travel between St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier campus. Hours: Monday through Friday 4pm to 8:30pm
