Description:

The Director of The Learning Commons is responsible for all aspects of the Innovation Center; including strategic program creation, implementation of programs and events, and management of daily operations. This Director provides a visionary plan that ensures growth for Holy Trinity as an institutional leader in STEM, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. The Director works with the Principal and Academic team to create programming at all levels and to promote, coordinate, and administer a mission-centered philosophy for all members of the Holy Trinity community. Essential Responsibilities • Research and assess current education trends in collaboration with the Assistant Principal, Principal and Technology Director • Develop strategic initiatives leading to a world-class, user-friendly program • Create and implement visionary programs and events to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at The Learning Commons and school community • Lead a culture that fosters innovation, professional growth, and an entrepreneurial mindset for the entire student body. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Commons • Participate in design of professional development workshops for faculty and staff • Create unique experiences for visitors to the Learning Commons • Support faculty members’ efforts to integrate instructional strategies with multiple technologies that promote cooperative and project-based learning • Create community outreach for use of The Learning Commons outside regular school hours. This could include the creation of competitions, use of visiting professors and teachers, and creating conference opportunities (Year two & beyond) • Establish partnerships with faculty to explore instructional methods and innovative technologies for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, engaging project and Inquiry-Based Learning experiences • Run workshops, trainings, clubs, design challenges, and other experiences for teachers and students for promoting innovation and entrepreneurialism • Collaborate and support the growth of our STEM curriculum by planning lessons and providing instruction for faculty and students • Remain current in emerging technologies, trends, and research, to share and model effective practice in 21st-century teaching and learning strategies Please send your resume and other materials to Dr. Quincy Paden at qpaden@holytrinity-hs.org.

Requirements:

• BA in education or business. Graduate degree in innovation, technology, instructional design, educational leadership, or related field is preferred • Minimum of 3-5 years teaching experience or educational background preferred within the sciences, engineering, technology, arts, or business • Possesses the skill to design curriculum and integrate across various disciplines • Business experience including at least 2 years of management experience or project management experience preferred • Experience with current best-practices in inquiry and STEM education • Knowledge of online educational websites, platforms, and apps pertinent to the teaching of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics • Professional experience in education field within marketing and/or development • Entrepreneurial skills and a commitment to innovation • Ability to inspire and encourage creative, innovative, entrepreneurial thinking
