Description:
St. Joseph Parish, Manhattan, Il is seeking a part-time musician to play / sing for Sunday masses, 8:30 am and 10:30 am, for Holy Days and for special liturgies. Weddings and funerals provide additional remuneration.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable leading the parishioners in sung prayer while playing the piano / organ. Current instruments are: Yamaha Clavinova and a 2-manual Allen organ.
Number of hours may increase with opportunities including prayer services, school liturgies, and developing/leading a choir. Starting date is negotiable. Interested candidates are invited to send a resume and cover letter to humanresources@dioceseofjoliet.org.

Requirements:
The candidate must have a working knowledge of the Catholic faith and of Catholic liturgies. Duties would include choosing appropriate seasonal music throughout the church year.
