Description:
The successful candidate will advise signature Campus Ministry programs including Midnight Run, a 30-year student led initiative to address hunger and homeless by service and accompaniment with poor communities in the city of Milwaukee. Other areas of responsibility: weekly Soup with Substance; Border Awareness Experience, Ignatian Family Teach, justice education in collaboration with stakeholders. This position is an integral witness to Catholic identity and Jesuit ideals in campus ministry at Marquette University. The successful candidate will collaborate, consult, and support campus ministers as they address justice issues, Catholic Social Teaching, and service in their area of ministerial responsibility. The successful candidate will create structured opportunities to learn and reflect on justice issues in light of the Gospel and through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Campus Ministry. This is a 10-month position.

Requirements:
Minimum requirements include: Master’s Degree in process, Theology, Pastoral Ministry, or related field; 2 years of campus ministry experience or related work; working knowledge of Catholic Social Teachings, social movements, and current issues of social justice; Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to make reasoned decisions; functional knowledge and understanding of the workings of administration in the university; functional understanding of the community and social services.; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
