Description:
The Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic's goal is to keep the infrastructure maintained in good working condition, as well as keeping it a safe and attractive environment. Buildings and grounds must be kept in good condition for the benefit of retreatants, staff, and residents. Bellarmine should be a pleasant, prayerful, and safe place to live and work.

Requirements:
General Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair the retreat house and other buildings.
Maintain all building related equipment, including HVAC, water softeners, compressors, kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
Maintain autos, tractors, mechanical yard and garden equipment.
Maintain grounds, landscape, and assist with snow removal.
Maintain building and maintenance supplies as needed, including pick-up and delivery.
Paint doors, walls, ceilings, equipment and other items as needed or directed.
Clean and repair furniture as needed or directed.
Work closely with other departments to ready the retreat house for retreat groups.
Light and heavy disposal of trash and garbage.
Provide equipment and furniture set-ups as needed by various groups using the facility.
Assist Housekeeping staff with general cleaning as needed or directed.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Building and Grounds Supervisor.
Must have open communication with the Building and Grounds Supervisor and the entire staff to enhance the retreat house for all retreatants.
Cooperate with Jesuit staff members and volunteers in areas of work in which Jesuits are importantly involved.
