Description:

24 hrs/wk (flexible) The Finance Director – Special Projects is a trustworthy partner in mission for Holy Family Province of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth with responsibility for projects as assigned by the Treasurer. Responsibilities include quarterly expense reporting, budgeting, 1099 reporting, financial system maintenance, individual tax return preparation for sisters and backup to the accounts payable, payroll and 403(b) plan administration. Projects include assisting sisters with personal financial matters, equipment and related lease analysis, benefit plan analysis, Congregation property issues along with related lease and property tax matters. The Finance Director – Special Projects works with Convent Superiors on submission and review of quarterly reports, including tracking the status of the reports. This position is also responsible for receipt and review of budget information submitted by over 30 convents and works closely with the Treasurer to compile data into an annual budget for the Congregation. The Finance Director – Special Projects is responsible for complying with IRS regulations in terms of 1099 reporting of vendors working as independent contractors and of sisters’ earnings on patrimony accounts. The Finance Director – Special Projects works closely with Sage Visual Integrator cash transaction upload programs and Sage Positive pay file creation program along with maintenance of quarterly reporting and budget worksheets and adding and deleting convent locations as needed. The Finance Director – Special Projects compiles approximately 20 individual federal, state and local tax returns for Sisters required to file returns. Backup roles when needed include timely payment of vendors, provide information needed to process bi-weekly payroll and report 403(b) information to the plan administrator along with deposit of employee 403(b) withholding.

Requirements:

Accounting degree Minimum five years previous accounting experience Excel software expertise Experience working with information technology from a hardware and application software perspective a plus Experience working with Sage Financial software a plus
