Description:
Successful candidates must be an active, practicing Catholic with experience in adult, youth and children’s choirs as well as with traditional/contemporary liturgical music. In addition, a Bachelor’s Degree in music, minimum 3 years’ of experience in Catholic music ministry and liturgy, and proficiency in multiple musical styles. Strong organ, piano, choir direction and vocal skills are required; along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements:
Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood is seeking a dynamic Director of Music Ministry to plan, coordinate, and continue to build our music ministry program. This is a full time position.
The Director of Music Ministry will work autonomously reporting to the pastor as he or she directs/accompanies/supervises musicians, cantors and choirs for five weekend liturgies, children’s choir, holy days, weekly school Mass, funerals, weddings, First Eucharist and Confirmation, etc.
