Description:
The Director of Evangelization & Catechesis is responsible for creating a culture of missionary discipleship at St. Norbert and Our Lady of the Brook Parish. This individual works with the pastor and parish staff to implement a strategic vision for forming life-long disciples through religious education, sacramental prep, and adult formation. The ideal candidate is a prayer-led Catholic with professional experience in evangelization and program development, a degree in a related field, a commitment to ongoing personal growth, and an ability to dynamically share the life-changing love of Jesus Christ.

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

PARISH ACCOUNTABILITY
• Establish office hours
• Attend staff meetings
• Cultivate relationships with cluster, deanery, vicariate, archdiocesan and ecumenical structures as appropriate
• Cultivate relationships with parish ministry coordinators and direct reports
• Meet safe environment requirements of the Archdiocese
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Religious Education
a. Develop curriculum for Kindergarten through 8th grade
b. Recruit, train, and retain volunteers
2. Sacramental Prep—Baptism Prep, First Communion, Confirmation

b. Recruit, train, and retain volunteers
3. Discipleship Initiatives and Adult Formation

Requirements:
Degree in Theology or related field
